Children’s Book Reading & Activity

Have fun learning about guinea pigs with Chava Maimon, self-published author of the children’s book Cocoa’s Busy Day. Chava will lead an engaging reading of her book at the Libbie Mill Library, followed by a short video and creative coloring activity. Book description: Join Cocoa, and his human friend Julie, for a day of guinea pig adventures. Whether it’s time to eat, play, or take a nap, Cocoa is engaging and loads of fun while demonstrating how guinea pigs differ from and are similar to human children. By developing a friendship with Cocoa, children learn much more than proper guinea pig care; they also gain lessons in compassion and giving, all while having fun!
