Craft + Design

The Visual Arts Center of Richmond’s Craft + Design is a contemporary craft show that has garnered a reputation for showcasing the finest in museum-quality craft. The show is held in the historic Main Street Station’s train shed and draws more than 9,000 guests to shop the work of 170+ artists from all over the country. Since the inaugural show in 1964, Craft + Design has become more than just a craft show. Today, it’s a weekend-long event featuring live artist demonstrations, family-friendly workshops, and local food and drink. The weekend kicks off with Richmond’s favorite party, the Patrons’ Preview Party, where supporters get a first look at the exhibitors while enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Early bird ticket prices are available through the month of October. Craft + Design is the signature event of the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, a nonprofit community arts center located in the heart of Richmond’s Fan District.
