Jazz Faculty Septet presents: Roy Haynes Tribute Concert

$The VCU Jazz Faculty Septet will pay tribute to one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time! Drummer Roy Haynes (1925-2024) performed and recorded with everyone, including Charlie Parker, Sarah Vaughan, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Chick Corea, and Rahsaan Roland Kirk. Haynes remaining active well into his 90s, leading groups with the top musicians of the current generation.
Featuring JC Kuhl, saxophones and bass clarinet; Taylor Barnett, trumpet and flugelhorn; Shannon Gunn, trombone; Trey Pollard, guitar; Dimitrije Vasiljević, piano; Andrew Randazzo, bass; and Tony Martucci, drums.
