Monster Drawing Rally

Featuring 80 local artists enjoy this live art-making event. The funds from this exhilarating event directly support 1708’s exhibitions and programs. Monster Drawing Rally consists of 4 one-hour shifts with 20 artists creating new works alongside one another. As soon as artists complete their artwork, they are placed for viewing throughout the gallery. In addition to the opportunity to see artists’ creative practice unfold, visitors may purchase completed works of art at a set price of $100 each. This year’s poster artist, Oura Sananikone, will lead special activities for the whole family! Also, MDR will feature a 30 minute kids drawing shift in addition to an art-making station and chalkboard wall. Bikini Panini and Churchill Scoops will be onsite.
