Muévelo! Latinx Dance Workshop
Join us for fun spring break programming and learn the rhythms and steps of traditional Latinx dance! From 10:30–11:30am, dancers from Muévelo, Virginia Commonwealth University’s Latinx dance club, will lead an energetic workshop. The class will begin with a short, 10-minute performance of two dances to introduce students to the music, movements, and excitement of bachata and cumbia. Muévelo performers will then stay on the floor to help guide participants through the steps as the teaching portion begins. After dancing, be sure to visit We the People: The World in Our Commonwealth to discover the journeys, cultures, and contributions of immigrants who have made Virginia home. This program is included with Daily Museum Admission.
