Oh, for Wings to Fly
March 22 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeFor women in the premodern era, their lives and accomplishments are easier to slip into silence and be forgotten. 18th century female writers, midwives, poets, and artists colored their world with wisdom and creativity. Their legacy can be a hopeful challenge to us all: to explore, soar, and be more creative. In this presentation, discuss the lives of Phillis Wheatley, Mary Crathorne, Elizabeth Vigee le Brun, and Martha Ballard.
