Plant Dyes Workshop
April 28 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
In this class, learn about many of the beautiful colors that can be achieved through plant-based dyes, including a discussion about Indigo. Also discuss how mordants can change those colors to add even more options, and all will get to experiment with different plant dyes on natural cotton, wool, and silk. Each student will get to take home sample strips of fabric and there will be an option to purchase a silk scarf blank to dye during the workshop, and take home if you so choose. This class is suitable for ages 9 through adulthood, with 9 to 11 yr olds accompanied by a guardian taking the workshop with them.
