Regional Recovery Day

An event that will share expert insight, resources, and hope for those struggling with substance-use disorders. It’s open to the public and organized by the counties of Henrico, Chesterfield, and Hanover ,and the city of Richmond. The event will include keynote addresses by addiction experts Dr. Andreas Bienert and Dr. William J. Lynch Jr. Bienert, chief clinical officer of the Richmond-based Master Center for Addiction Medicine, will explain addiction. Lynch, a clinical pharmacist will focus on vaping illicit substances, which is rising among area youth and can involve highly addictive and dangerous drugs. In addition, attendees will be able to visit a resource fair that will offer nearly 50 vendors, such as providers of treatment, recovery and prevention services. Parents of school-aged children are strongly encouraged to attend.
