Rhinoceros
In this iconic play about the dangers of conformity, the peace of a tranquil French village is trampled by a growing number of pachyderms rampaging through the town. The hapless Berenger—a disheveled and absentminded daydreamer—is slowly becoming the last person standing in a world of Rhinos. Ionesco’s play revels in its absurdity while simultaneously reflecting the deep divisions that permeate contemporary society. The run time is two hours and 15 minutes, including a 15 minute intermission.
