Step into the past in Shockoe Bottom, one of Richmond’s oldest historic districts, to learn about the struggles for freedom that shaped our nation. Guides will lead you to explore this historic neighborhood that was both the center of the domestic slave trade and the birthplace of American religious liberty. Visit Richmond’s canal walk, explore the remnants of Richmond’s industrial origins, and stop by the Henry “Box” Brown monument.
