Secretariat Day in Ashland

FreeThis family-style event on Secretariat’s birthday March 30 takes place around the “Secretariat Racing Into History” monument in the Reynolds Family Plaza at Randolph-Macon College. The Secretariat Day festivities hosted by Secretariat For Virginia will include live music from several groups, new Secretariat merchandise, food trucks, birthday cake, an art exhibit, local vendors, kids’ activities such as stick horse races, and more. The Ashland Theatre will host a free showing of the Disney movie Secretariat at 11 a.m., and the Ashland Museum will be open to show historic Secretariat and Meadow Stable memorabilia. Celebrate Virginia’s own Triple Crown legend, Secretariat.
