Longstanding beliefs in fearsome dragons, meddling witches, mischievous fairies, supernatural cats, and magic were part of daily life in Tudor England. To protect themselves from these dangers, people used ritual marks and other devices. Examine evidence of 16th and 17th century efforts to turn away evil and ensure good fortune. This tour includes the 2nd floor of the manor home and requires climbing stairs.
