As a world-renowned observational astrophysicist, Associate Chief Scientist Dr. Kartik Sheth will share some of his research on the assembly of galaxies, like our own Milky Way. Having worked on several of the telescope projects, including James Webb and ALMA (Chile), Sheth will describe the challenges and opportunities of building telescopes on the ground and in space.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m. so you can grab a complimentary cup of coffee to enjoy during the talk. Each presentation includes time for audience questions at the end. The event will conclude by 9 :00 a.m. so you can continue on with your day, but with a little extra science to fill your cup of knowledge, Tickets are capped due to fixed seating in The Dome. Guests will be asked to fill all available seats.
