$A spectacular showpiece. A fantastic symphony. Experience the hallucinations of Hector Berlioz. Guest conductor Michael Repper leads Berlioz’s vivid masterpiece. The concert begins with the tympani thunderclap of Antropolis by Gabriela Ortiz. Her driving rhythms evoke the seduction of a smokey Mexico City café. And the Richmond Symphony Chorus is featured in Borodin’s “Polovtsian Dances” (the tune for “Stranger in Paradise”.)
