Treats on the Block: Trick-or-Treat Brookland Park Blvd

The shops of Brookland Park Blvd open their doors for an evening of trick-or-treating. Families walk the block in costume and collect treats from the small businesses of Richmond’s Northside main street: the bookstore, the coffee shop, the bakery, the record shop, the flower shop and more. Boo-kland Park Blvd is put on by the Brookland Park business community. Stroll both sides of the boulevard between North Avenue and Brook Road, look for the participating-shop signs, and say hello to the people who run them. Tyrannosaurus Tot, the children’s bookstore and art studio at 113 W Brookland Park Blvd, will be handing out treats and hosting a Halloween craft in the studio the same afternoon.
