VA Czech & Slovak Folklife Festival

Enjoy exploring the traditions and culture of the Czech & Slovak families who settled on abandoned farms in Prince George County and surrounding areas just after the Civil War. Their descendants continue to live in the region and this festival features their traditional music, dance, foods, Czech beer, homemade baked goods, vintage farm equipment, farm animals petting zoo, and genealogical history. Visit the Czech & Slovak Immigration Gallery in the Heritage Center, where you will also find a gift shop with a variety of Czech & Slovak jewelry, Christmas ornaments, cookbooks, children’s books, and more.
