Virginia Wildlife Trail Grrrrand Reopening

On Saturday, April 18, celebrate the reopening of Maymont’s Virginia Wildlife Trail after two years of enhancements through the Maymont 2025 project. Reconnect with your old friends the black bears, red fox, bobcat, elk and raptors, and meet our new rescued animals, a coyote and 2 porcupines. From 10am to 4pm, the Virginia Wildlife Trail will be open for free tours, with animal keeper talks, feedings and enrichment sessions for the animals. The entire 100-acre grounds will be open to enjoy, and The Robins Nature Center, too. Enjoy games, crafts and refreshments from local food trucks, plus live entertainment for all ages throughout the day. The recently reopened Maymont Mansion will be open for walkthroughs of the main level as well. It’s all part of the celebrations of Maymont’s 100th anniversary as a public space this year, culminating with Cheers to 100 Years on June 6!
