Women’s Work: Women and Craft in America

All ages. In this presentation, we will discuss the legacy of black women and a variety of craft-making processes in the South in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and into today. We will specifically talk about quilting, embroidery, weaving, spinning, knitting, and sewing and how these processes were used by women of color.
