Minnick Schools

Minnick Schools are Private Special Education Day Schools licensed through the Virginia Department of Education and accredited through the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities for students ages 5 to 22 with complex behavioral and emotional needs. All students participate in a curriculum based on the Virginia Standards of Learning and have access to state-of-the-art technology. We develop individualized plans that help students achieve their academic and behavioral goals, whether that be to return to their home school or to pursue a vocational path that will enable independence and dignity in the community. Minnick Schools serve students in school districts in the Harrisonburg, Roanoke, Wytheville, and Wise regions; these school divisions pay for eligible students to attend our school.
