Because RMHC of Richmond on Monument Avenue hosts hundreds of children and families a year, specific items for the house are always in demand.
“The Ronald McDonald House uses the same cleaning products as a typical residence, but with up to twenty-seven people a night staying here, these items are needed in bulk,” says Kerry Blumberg, executive director. “With long days at hospitals, RMHC of Richmond wants to make it easy for families to have meals and snacks without worrying about grocery shopping. Keeping the house fully stocked and making sure the families have everything they need depends on the help of the community.”
RMHC of Richmond is in need of cleaning supplies – specifically disinfecting wipes and Swiffer wet pads. Because guests of the house are on different schedules, easy snacks are also needed: granola bars, juice boxes, single-serve microwavable mac ‘n cheese cups. Gift cards to local retailers are also greatly appreciated.
Donate on your own, or consider organizing a supply drive. Please bring donations or mail gift cards to: RMHC of Richmond, 2330 Monument Ave, Richmond, VA 23220.
