Full Circle Grief Center & Bon Secours Bereavement Center Present:

A Conversation About Suicide-Supporting Teens & Young Adults

Richmond, VA-April 8, 2014 6-8pm.

First Presbyterian Church

4602 Cary Street, Richmond VA 23226

EVENT INFORMATION

This conversation includes a presentation by Laura Mayer from CrisisLink, a 24/7/365 accredited crisis intervention hotline serving the Northern Virginia area. The presentation is appropriate for anyone searching for more information about the risk factors and warning signs of teen/young adult suicide, myths about teens/young adults and suicide, and ways to support teens/young adults after a suicide loss. After the keynote speaker, a panel of family members and friends who have dealt with a suicide death will share their experiences, challenges, and ways of coping. The audience will have a chance to ask questions to deepen their understanding of teens/young adults and suicide.

Community resources and educational materials will be available.

OUR MISSION

As part of our mission, Full Circle is dedicated to increasing the community conversation about grief and its effects on children, families, and communities. We are pleased to partner with Bon Secours Bereavement Center to offer the first of three conversations for 2014.

TO REGISTER

Thanks to the support of Bon Secours and First Presbyterian Church, registration is only $10.

Register online at www.fullcirclegc.org/CAG or mail check to Full Circle at 10611 Patterson Ave, #201, Richmond VA 23238.

About Full Circle Grief Center

Full Circle was incorporated in September 2008 as a comprehensive grief resource center in the Richmond area to help meet the needs of grieving children (ages 3-18) and their families. Our organization is dedicated to children and families who need long-term, professional support as they work through their grief. We use creative expression to enable children to share their worries, fears, anger, sadness, and many other emotions that come along with experiencing the death of someone significant.  Our Center is located in Henrico County, but our groups and educational programs serve families throughout the community, including youth in Richmond’s inner-city schools.
