This Thursday, July 30, families can turn a sweet treat into meaningful support for local kids during Miracle Treat Day® at Dairy Queen. Every BLIZZARD® Treat purchased at participating locations helps fund pediatric care at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU through Children’s Miracle Network. And this year, the impact is even greater: Humble Hearts Foundation is matching Dairy Queen’s $1‑per‑Blizzard donation, doubling each contribution to $2 per treat for CHoR’s pediatric programs.
One of the faces of this year’s celebration is Reya Menghrajani, the Richmond Region’s 2026 Children’s Miracle Network ambassador. Children’s Miracle Network is a leading charity that provides critical funding to local children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, helping ensure kids have access to the life‑changing care they need close to home.
For Reya, that mission is deeply personal. At just five years old, she experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm caused by an arteriovenous malformation and underwent an 11‑hour lifesaving surgery at CHoR. Thanks to the expert care she received, Reya made a full recovery and now shares her story to help inspire support for other children and families receiving care at the hospital.
“Reya is thrilled to serve as one of just 20 children nationwide selected as a 2026 National Champion for Children’s Miracle Network,” the Menghrajani family shared. “She hopes to inspire other kids who are going through similar journeys and remind them that they are not alone.”
The Menghrajani family credits CHoR’s expert care and compassionate staff for saving Reya’s life and for showing them that even in the darkest moments, hope remains.
