American Youth Harp Ensemble to Make Lincoln Center Debut

The American Youth Harp Ensemble, directed by Lynnelle Ediger, in collaboration with the Virginia Choristers and St. Bridget Parish Choir are pleased to announce their Lincoln Center debut at Alice Tully Hall April 27, 2013. A series of local preview concerts will precede a Lincoln Center tour giving area audiences the opportunity to hear the program in full.

Preview concerts are as follows.
March 23, 3pm, Reveille United Methodist Church, 4200 Cary Street Rd., Richmond, VA 23221
April 11, 7pm, Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 800 S. Cathedral Place, Richmond, VA 23220
April 19, 7pm, St. Bridget Catholic Church, 6006 Three Chopt Rd., Richmond, VA 23226

Lincoln Center Tour dates are as follows.
April 25, 7pm, Hood College, Coffman Chapel, 401 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701
April 26, 4pm, Church of St. Mary the Virgin, 145 W. 46th Street, New York, NY 10036
April 27, 2pm, Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, 10 Lincoln Center Plaza, New York, NY 10023

The American Youth Harp Ensemble has played legendary concert halls around the country and around the world including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the East Room of the White House and at the Edinburgh and Paris Music Festivals to name a few. “The Alice Tully Hall debut offers our young harpists and our collaborators, the Virginia Choristers and the St. Bridget Parish Choir, prestigious additions to their resumes after countless hours of hard work and practice” said Ediger of the upcoming concert. “An experience like this is life-changing.

Recognized nationally as a model arts education program, the Richmond-based American Youth Harp Ensemble serves over 300 young harpists, ages five to eighteen, annually. Along with artistic excellence, the AYHE offers young harpists opportunities to make a difference in the world around them through unique outreach programming. Visit www.harpensemble.org.
