2017 Denim Drive to benefit Goodwill of Central Virginia and Hampton Roads

Volunteers will collect all denim items (jeans, jackets, shorts, etc.) at the second floor information center of Regency Square on the following dates and times:

Saturday April 22, 10am to 9pm
Sunday, April 23, 12pm to 6pm
Saturday April 29, 10am to 9pm
Sunday, April 30, 12pm to 6pm

Help turn jeans into jobs! Here’s how it works: Schools compete to collect used jeans and other denim items for Goodwill. All public elementary, middle school, and high schools in Henrico County are encouraged to donate on behalf of their schools. Last year’s event yielded approximately ten thousand pairs of jeans for Goodwill. Look for a fall denim drive in Chesterfield County and an event for Hanover County Schools in 2018.

Bring your denim donation to the second floor information center at Regency Square Mall and designate a Henrico County Public School. Cash prizes will be awarded to the schools collecting the most denim donations.

Cash prizes will be distributed to the top three elementary, middle, and high schools for a total of nine cash prizes. The prize levels are $1,000, $750, and $500. In addition, weekend bonus awards of $250 will recognize the top donating school for the week for each weekend. Checks are distributed to the school principals and can be used at the school’s discretion.

In the past, clubs and group have organized collection efforts at their schools and delivered the donations to the Regency Square information center on the second floor. Start talking up your donation plan today! Any denim item can be dropped off at the information center and designated to support a particular school. Encourage your family, friends, and neighbors to support the Big Denim Drive at Regency Square Mall so your school can claim a cash prize.
