In a full-throttle press to showcase all Chesterfield has to offer, a newly formed county department is pulling out all the stops to provide residents and visitors with several new experiences this spring.

Chesterfield’s Sports, Visitation and Entertainment (SVE) Department officially announced the relaunch of the county’s “Experience Chesterfield” website – a hub of social platforms of fun, food and endless recreational activities and entertainment across Chesterfield – during a kickoff event at the Career and Technical Center at Hull on Monday.

As part of the “Experience Chesterfield” showcase, Chesterfield, in partnership with the Chesterfield Chamber, also announced additional details and participating restaurants for its inaugural Chesterfield Restaurant Week from March 29 to April 7.

Several participating restaurants, including students from Chesterfield County Public Schools’ culinary program, presented a spread of delectable delights during Monday’s exclusive event.

Chesterfield Restaurant Week is a culinary collection of local independent restaurants throughout the county set to showcase their delicious dishes for a great cause. As part of Chesterfield’s culinary showcase, each restaurant will prepare a specific dining special, or menu, of their choice with a percentage of those proceeds from the food special going to the Chesterfield Food Bank.

Coming up on its one-year anniversary, Chesterfield’s SVE Department continues to work with business partners to ensure residents and visitors know the great amenities and activities Chesterfield has to offer – including its rapidly growing and diverse dining scene.

“Whether it’s the fun, the food, or the endless outdoor adventures, we are sure you are here because you’ve already found a reason to “Explore Chesterfield,”” Poma said. “We want you to know that there’s even more to explore.”

The Chesterfield Chamber, which has been integral in lining-up member restaurants to participate in the week-long dining showcase, is a great way to engage visitors and residents about Chesterfield’s locally owned restaurants.

“The participation and excitement from all the restaurants truly highlights the involvement of the business community in the future and success of Chesterfield County.  We are all excited to be part of this energy and look forward to its continued growth,” said new Chesterfield Chamber President Karen Webb.

Following the conclusion of Chesterfield’s first Restaurant Week, residents and visitors are invited to attend another new experience: Chesterfield Outdoor Fest, Saturday, April 13 at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A free, first-of-its-kind event, Chesterfield Outdoor Fest is a family-fun festival where patrons will walk away with a new passion and deeper appreciation for the sustainable community, and abundant adventures awaiting them in Chesterfield County.
