On your next visit to Chick-fil-A, you can donate a Boredom Buster for a child receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.

Suggested Boredom Busters:

• New packs of playing cards and card games

• New coloring books and small packs of crayons (6 to 10 crayons)

• New puzzle and activity books: easy word-searches, dot-to-dots, Sudoku, crosswords

• New and gently used family movie DVDs

(Sorry, hospitals cannot accept stuffed animals or toys out of their original packaging.)

starlight_boredom busterThis month, you’ll find convenient collection boxes at these Chick-fil-A locations across Greater Richmond:

• Chesterfield Town Center (inside mall)

• 1529 North Parham Road (near West End)

• 4443 South Laburnum  Avenue (Northside)

• 1590 West Koger Center Drive (Southside)

• 2900 West Hundred Road  (Chester)

Children who experience Starlight programming benefit from decreased anxiety, reduced need for pain medication, increased willingness to return for further treatment, and alleviation of stress and loneliness, giving them more time to just be kids. Boredom Busters from Starlight MidAtlantic are distributed to kids at RVA hospitals. Drop off puzzle and activity books, coloring books and crayons, family DVDs, and card games to help families pass the long hours. To learn more about Starlight MidAtlantic, visit starlight-midatlantic.org

Read more about Starlight Children’s Foundation Midatlantic and its commitment to kids and families on page 42 of this month’s RFM.
