The popular Spring Acoustic Concert Series is returning to Chesterfield County Public Library for its fifth season. Concerts will begin Thursday, April10, and continue each Thursday until the end of May. Concerts will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. at Central Library, and will feature folk and traditional music with an emphasis on Virginia musical traditions, including old-time, bluegrass and mountain music. Local and regional favorites are scheduled to appear.
A particular highlight this year will be a performance by The Stray Birds, a highly-acclaimed band from Pennsylvania known for playing modern compositions with an old-fashioned sound. They will play Thursday, May 1, 7-8 p.m.
