Richmond families are invited to the thirtieth annual Court End Christmas, Sunday, December 11, from noon to five. Nine historic sites in downtown Richmond, Virginia, open their doors for a day of free admission and holiday festivities. Celebrate the season while making a unique connection with history through carriage rides, carolers, living history, live music, children’s crafts, gift shopping, and more.
A complimentary shuttle will circulate among all sites throughout the event. Event is rain or shine. Participating sites include:
- The Valentine/Wickham House
- The Valentine First Freedom Center
- The John Marshall House
- St. John’s Church
- St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
- American Civil War Museum & White House of the Confederacy
- Monumental Church
- The Egyptian Building (VCU Health Campus)
- The Virginia State Capitol

Parking is available in several locations:
The Valentine Lot accessible from 10th Street between Clay and Marshall streets. This lot has limited number of spaces and is handicapped accessible.
VCU Hospital Visitor Lot* accessible from 12th Street at Leigh (this parking location is adjacent to the Museum and White House of the Confederacy and two blocks from the Valentine).
At St. Paul’s Episcopal Church deck accessible from 8th Street, between Grace and Franklin (direct access to St. Paul’s Church and one block from the Virginia State Capitol).
Parking Lot of Virginia Dept. of Transportation located at 1401 East Broad Street (across from Monumental Church).
On‐street, parallel parking at St. John’s Church in Church Hill and in the Court End neighborhood. An accessible, elevator entrance to St. John’s Church is available on 24th Street, just south of E. Broad Street.
Guests with accessibility issues should call (804) 649‐0711 x301 for specific instructions. Please note that the John Marshall House is not wheelchair accessible. Monumental Church will be wheelchair accessible.
