Donate $1 to Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation
for $2 on Uptown Alley Game Play Cards
Uptown Alley says it will match all donations to breast cancer awareness made at the venue during the month of October. In addition, for every $1 donated to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation Uptown Alley will add $2 to game play cards.
Established in 1985, October is international Breast Cancer Awareness Month. According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women. In fact, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Each year it is estimated that over 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die.
“As a locally-owned business, Uptown Alley is committed to making a difference in our community,” said Paul Spada, general manager. “We welcome area residents to join Uptown Alley in the fight against breast cancer.”
Game play cards can be used in the arcade at Uptown Alley which features high-tech video games and a retail prize store featuring quality merchandise. Some of the newest video games featured in the arcade are Down the Clown, Milk Jug Toss and Connect Four.
