Music lovers are invited to enjoy the dynamic evolution of music in Virginia from Pre-Revolutionary to the fresh sounds of young composers and musicians from GreenSpring International Academy of Music. The concert features a specially-curated program sampling music from Bluegrass to Appalachian, classical to contemporary, all uniquely Virginian. Join us for a mind-opening, awe-inspiring, toe tappin’ good time.
The performers featured in the concert include: the Grammy-considered, GreenSpring American Youth Harp Ensemble, the Bluegrass duo, “The Wells Brothers,” the GreenSpring Strings, renowned music historian, Dr. Michael Holmes, the GreenSpring Virginia Choristers, and young Virginia composers. The concert is led by Lynnelle Ediger-Kordzaia, Founder and Director of GreenSpring International Academy of Music.
The concert will be held on Sunday, November 10th, 2019 at 3:00pm at Seventh Street Christian Church (4101 Grove Avenue, Richmond VA). In lieu of tickets, a free-will offering will be collected to support GreenSpring’s Sound Experiences to provide music education to underserved youth. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are asking attendees to consider bringing a non-perishable food item. All food items collected will be donated to FeedMore, Central Virginia’s Foodbank.
