Americana Opening Reception

Celebrate the opening of Americana at The Branch Museum of Design. Guests will be among the first to experience the exhibition while enjoying complimentary wine and beer, including a sampling of Madeira from Broadbent Selections, a wine long associated with America’s founding. Opening as the nation marks its 250th anniversary, Americana explores how America’s identity has been shaped and projected through symbols that live in advertising, media, products, and popular culture. Through the work of 18 artists, including four Guggenheim Fellows and internationally recognized artists, the exhibition explores the making of the American myth and asks a timely question: Are we living up to the promises we’ve made. Guests can also shop new exhibition merchandise, including a special-edition NASA t-shirt available exclusively at The Branch Museum of Design.
