Celebrate a Snowfamily Reunion!

Turn tubes into clever and colorful snowpeople using odds and ends from around the house.

What you need:

• Toilet paper tubes
• Glue
• White acrylic paint
• Paintbrush
• Crayons, markers
• Odds and ends: pom poms, felt, fabric, yarn, chenille stems, twigs

What you do:

1 Paint the toilet paper tube and let dry (optional).

2 Cut a strip of felt, add fringes, and tie it around your tube. Add a dab of glue to keep it in place.

3 Poke holes into each side of the tube and insert twigs or chenille stems for arms.

4 Cut a 3-inch length of chenille stem.

5 On opposite sides of the tube, cut slits (about a half inch) into the top.

6 Bend chenille stem across the top of the tube and slip each end into each slit.

7 Glue pom poms on top of where you inserted the chenille stem on each side.

8 Use crayons or markers to draw eyes, carrot nose, smile, and rosy cheeks.

Variations:  Adapt and get creative using items from around the house and found items. A tiny baby sock makes a cute hat. You might accessorize with buttons, googly eyes, stickers, beads, shells, cotton, acorns, ribbon, or other found items.
