This summer, athletes from around the world will challenge each other at the Olympics! Share this winning attitude at home by celebrating the important people in your life with a homemade medal. While Olympians are winning gold, silver, or bronze medals, you can use your handmade medals to spread joy.

What you do:

1. Using a smaller sized jar lid or cup, trace one circle per medal onto plain white paper.

2. On colorful paper, trace two large circles per medal.

3. Cut out all circles and set aside.

4. Decorate a small white circle with your own unique design. Create a cheerful message or add glittery accents! If needed, let dry fully before continuing.

5. Cut a 30-inch length of ribbon. Set aside.

6. Place an even layer of glue across the back surfaces of two large circles.

7. On a flat surface, layer one large circle, face down; stick both ends of the ribbon on the sticky back; attach the second circle on top. Gently smooth the layers with your hands to make sure top layer sticks to both the ribbon and the back layer.

8. Use glue to attach the decorated circle to one of the large circles. Let dry.

Award the medal to someone special and celebrate how much you appreciate them!
