Over the last forty years, Tuckahoe Montessori School has grown from its beginnings in a one-room schoolhouse serving a small group of children between the ages three to six to a school that spans the toddler years (18 months to 3 years) through elementary school. Each day at TMS you can find what made that one room schoolhouse so special — warmth, welcome, and joyful learning.
Here, teachers use the Montessori Method to tap the natural curiosity of children and to foster their development through these exciting years, all in a warm and welcoming environment. The developmental stages from birth through elementary school are incredibly dynamic and as a school we support students and their families during this period of rapid change.
The work inside and outside of the classroom provides the intellectual, social, and emotional tools that allow children to confidently approach life and learning far beyond their years at TMS.
