Start your Mother’s Day celebration with the Richmond Road Runners Club this year. The Richmond Road Runners Club’s Carytown 10K offers a flat, fast and certified (VA09019RT) course that is run mostly on Cary Street and Grove Avenue. The race will start and finish near Cary Court in Carytown. There will be a free Kids Run (1/4 mile) before the start of the 10K, making it a terrific family event! We are also offering a virtual option if you are unable to attend this event in person.
The Carytown 10k is traditionally one of the Richmond Road Runners Club’s most popular races! This year, it will be held on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8th, 2022, with race start at 8:00AM.
COURSE:
The 10K (6.2 mile) course starts and finishes on Cary Street west of Cary Court. The course is a figure 8 that uses Cary Street Road, Floyd Ave, Thompson St., Libbie Ave, Grove Ave, and Nansemond St. The course will be coned off for runners to use part of the right lane. The roads will be open to traffic.
Two water stops will support runners at the intersection of Cary Street and Westmoreland as well as at Grove and Oak Lane. The water stops will be hands-free and cup-less. Please bring your own cup or bottle!
VOLUNTEERS:
The Carytown 10k is an excellent opportunity to give back to the Richmond running community. We are currently in need of water stop attendants and course marshals!
