The Family Celebration You’ve Been Looking For!
Noon Year’s Eve at the Science Museum of Virginia, December 31
Ten…nine…eight…seven… Join the countdown to noon at the Science Museum of Virginia! At the strike of noon, an unmatched confetti drop and over two thousand bouncy balls will fly – followed by an apple juice toast to celebrate the New Year!
Count on lots of fun activities for kids and families from ten o’clock to one in the afternoon. (No early morning partying here!)
Build your own geodesic globe — a nod to the famous ball that is dropped in Times Square at midnight, sample black-eyed pea recipes in the Boost! gallery kitchen, and create noise-makers.
Plus, you can take a fun photo with your friends at the Richmond Family Magazine photo booth, and make make paper hats with the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Also, learn about time zones and discover why New Year’s Eve is celebrated at different times around the globe.
The family-friendly festivities are included with museum admission. Tickets are $11 with $1 discounts for ages 4 to 12 and 60 and up. For more information visit Home | Science Museum of Virginia or call 804.864.1400.
