For singer Georgi Mottram, music is its own language.
“It can inspire feelings of hope, love, strength, joy and more,” says Mottram, one of the lead singers and the creative director of The Princess Concert, playing at Altria Theater on July 15 at 3:30 p.m. “It is an extremely therapeutic modality and a way to connect people.”
A Celebration of Beloved Songs

The Princess Concert is a celebration of heartwarming, inspiring and enchanting songs from magical animated movies, stage and screen. It features songs from animations that include Frozen, Wicked, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Moana, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty & The Beast, Anastasia, Pocahontas, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, and more.
There will also be songs from pop stars such as Taylor Swift, Coldplay, and Rachel Platte.
“It is a perfect and special day out for all the family with beautiful messages of empowerment punctuated throughout the show,” Mottram says.
The concert originated in the United Kingdom and expanded to Ireland and is now traveling to the “most beautiful theaters, concert halls and venues in the U.S.,” says Mottram.
Mottram, a classical #1 charting soprano who has performed leading roles on the West End in London, will be joined by West End star, Danielle Hope and American performers Domonique Patern, Jay Dref, Bryce Charles, and more.
“All of our performers have a shared joy of performing beautiful music and creating an enchanting and special experience for all the family to enjoy,” Mottram says, noting that singers were chosen for their “talent and an ability to connect with an audience. We tend to gravitate toward goodhearted, kind and wonderful performers.”
Music With a Meaningful Message

The idea for the 90-minute concert was to create an experience that would resonate with the younger generation for years to come.
“We wanted something that would remind them of the kindness, strength, courage and love they have inside of their hearts,” Mottram says. “And, we love singing nostalgic magical songs that remind our adults in the audience of their inner child.”
All of the songs chosen were favorites of the producers and singers. “They feel inspiring, enchanting and joyful,” Mottram says.
Singing is a beautiful way to encourage people to share their voice, she adds.
“That is so important in this world,” she says. “We encourage lots of singing in the concert!”
