Change your shoes, change a life at this November event to support children and adults with autism and related challenges.
The Faison Center will host its inaugural Wine Women & Shoes (WWS) event at the Science Museum of Virginia’s Dewey Gottwald Center on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
An irresistible blend of fashion and compassion, WWS events are all about putting the “fun” in fundraising. They give women the opportunity to get glamorous with their friends while enjoying incredible varietals from top winemakers, all for a good cause.
The Faison Center’s sip-sational event will feature wines from Tattoo Girl wines, Jolene Family Winery and more, as well as a shoppable multi-designer marketplace with clothes, handbags and jewelry.
In addition to shopping peep-toes while sipping pinots, guests will enjoy a Key to the Closet raffle, Wall of Wine, silent and live auctions, plus delicious culinary bites and a fashion show produced by students from VCU Fashion.
Wine Women & Shoes (WWS) is Thurs, Nov. 14 at the Science Museum of Virginia
Tickets are available at winewomenandshoes.com starting at $125 with proceeds benefitting The Faison Center’s Early Education Center serving pre-school aged children with autism.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Faison Center’s mission is to give children and adults with autism and related challenges the best opportunity to improve their life’s journey through evidence-based practice. The non-profit provides world-class services and programs through its unique lifespan model, which offers enriching opportunities from early diagnosis to adulthood. No matter when services are needed, Faison is committed to improving the lives of the individuals it serves.
Founded in Napa Valley in 2005, WW&S is a fun-and-fashionable national event series that lets women put their most generous foot forward, sip to their hearts’ content, and laugh until their cheeks hurt. (Talk about a positively good time!) With events in over 200 cities—and counting—it has helped net over $125 million for various causes across the country.
The Richmond event is sponsored by SmartHER, with additional support from Sheehy Lexus.
