The Fairy Godmother Project (FGP) is a non-profit organization reaching out to local families during pediatric cancer treatment in hopes of making their day to day a bit easier through meals, organization and other domestic help. In addition, we offer family photography sessions for these families donated by professional photographers.

The Joggin’ Jubilee is a fundraiser for Fairy Godmother Project and will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 12-3pm. Location is in the Summer Lake neighborhood at 17040 Lake Summer Dr, Moseley, VA 23120, which is off Otterdale Rd in Western Chesterfield County.

This event consists of a kids 1k race, a 5k race and the Jubilee will run throughout the afternoon until 3pm. Walkers and strollers are welcome and parents can assist their children in the 1k at no charge. The cost for the 1k is $10 and cost for the 5k is $25. The price for both will increase by $5 on April 7th. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers and fundraisers.

The Jubilee will have kids’ entertainment activities such as a fire truck, Richmond Game Truck, clowns, face painting, caricatures, martial arts demonstration, crafts and games, a DJ, concessions and more! Participants of the race will get free entry into the Jubilee. Non-racing individuals can gain entry by purchasing a $2 silicone bracelet.

Sign ups can be found on www.active.com. For more information, please contact Laura Leporati at Richmond@fairygodmotherproject.org, or visit www.fairygodmotherproject.org.
