Richmond Young Writers, a creative base for writers of all ages, is preparing its new space in Carytown.

Richmond Young Writers is moving, but staying in Carytown, just three blocks away at 2707 West Cary Street.

The creative writing workshops from RYW for ages nine to seventeen make space for kids to connect and grow as writers. There’s great news for writing adults too: Life in Ten Minutes, Valley Haggard’s series of writing workshops for adults, will be sharing the space.

If you’re in a position to help Richmond Young Writers build a beautiful, inspiring space in which kids and adults can write, share, bond and transform, check out the campaign page. There are awesome rewards, including tickets to the housewarming weekend, The Tesseract.

THE TESSERACT is happening Saturday, November 12 and Sunday, November 13,  and it will feature a mind-melding array of writing experiments, prompts, advice from local authors, theories, postulations, surrealist games, the meaning of life, and your very own astral travel agent. Advance single-day tickets are $40 ($50 at the door), a weekend pass is $75. Unicorn parking available.
