Materials
- 2 cardboard tubes
- Colorful tape and clear tape
- Colorful or patterned paper
- Glue stick
- Hole punch
- Yarn
- Paper straws
Optional items:
Foam sheet, stickers, and markers
Instructions
1. Start by decorating the cardboard tubes. Cut some paper long enough to wrap around each tube.
2. Secure the paper on each of the tubes with a small piece of tape and add some glue to the paper.
3. Wrap the paper around to cover the tube. At the end, add more tape to hold it in place.
4. Cut strips of paper or foam sheets long enough to wrap around the top and bottom of each tube. Secure these strips with glue and a few pieces of colorful tape.
5. Connect the tubes using a piece of tape on top and bottom, then punch one hole on the side of each tube.
6. Cut a piece of yarn or ribbon slightly longer than necklace length. Add some craft tape to the end of the yarn.
7. Cut the two paper straws into 2-inch sections to create “beads” and thread these onto the taped end of your yarn or ribbon.
8. Have a grown-up help you tie the yarn to the holes on each side of your watchers.
