Shoulder Pad Jellyfish

Create Your Own Recycled Sea Friend

Shoulder pads may not be in style anymore, but you should think twice before you toss them. Here’s how you can turn an outdated trend into a fun, funky sea friend!

Materials

  • 1 shoulder pad
  • Ribbons (as many as you’d like!)
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue
  • Stapler and staples

Instructions

  1. On the flat side of the shoulder pad, line up your ribbons side by side. These will be the jellyfish’s tentacles. Carefully staple each ribbon onto the shoulder pad one at a time, adding as many as you’d like.
  2. Cut one more piece of ribbon and staple it horizontally across the top of the tentacles to hide the staples and make it look neater.
  3. Glue on two googly eyes to give your jellyfish a silly face.
  4. Take another piece of ribbon, bend it into a loop, and staple it to the top of the jellyfish so you can hang it up.
  5. You’ve made your very own recycled jellyfish. Admire your creation and have fun with your new fishy friend!
