Is It a Smoothie Kind of Day?

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

This creamy smoothie is perfect as we transition into fall. It requires only six ingredients, and tastes like liquid pumpkin pie. Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender, blend until smooth, and enjoy.

• ½ cup canned coconut milk (regular or lite)
• ½ cup canned pumpkin
• 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
• 2 pitted medjool dates
• 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
• 3 to 4 cubes of ice

Coco Cauliflower Mint Chip Smoothie

If you’re watching your sugar intake or looking for a way to sneak some veggies into your diet, this smoothie is for you! Instead of using frozen fruit to give the smoothie a thick texture and volume, try using frozen cauliflower.  Place all ingredients except the cacao nibs into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Add in cacao nibs and blend a few additional seconds. Pour into a glass and enjoy. (*If you’re new to using cauliflower rice in smoothies, start small with a quarter cup instead of a half cup.)

• 1 cup unsweetened almond, cashew, or coconut milk
• ½ to 1 cup coconut water (or more milk of your choice)
• 1 tablespoon coconut butter or 3 tablespoons unsweetened shredded coconut
• ½ cup frozen cauliflower rice
• 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder
• 1 tablespoon chia seeds
• ½ tablespoon cacao or cocoa powder
• 4 to 5 fresh mint leaves or 1 to 2 drops of peppermint extract
• 1 to 2 teaspoons cacao nibs

PB&J Smoothie

Combine frozen blueberries with peanut butter and banana for a protein-packed smoothie that tastes just like your favorite sandwich from childhood! It’s the perfect breakfast smoothie for your kids. Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender, blend until smooth, and enjoy.

• 1 frozen banana
• 2 cups frozen blueberries
• 2 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
• 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
• 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter

Wild Maqui Berry Smoothie Bowl

Love the flavor of smoothies, but hate how fast you drink them down? Try a smoothie bowl! Because they’re made a bit thicker, you can eat them with a spoon and add fun toppings for something to chew. This one uses maqui berry powder, a superfood that’s loaded with inflammation-fighting antioxidants. If you can’t find maqui berry powder, try acai powder instead. Place all ingredients into a high-powered blender, blend until smooth. Add more almond milk if you want the texture to be thinner. Serve in a bowl with your favorite toppings.

• 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
• 1 cup frozen cauliflower
• 1 cup frozen blueberries
• 1 tablespoon coconut butter (almond butter works too)
• 2 scoops vanilla protein powder
• 2 tablespoons wild maqui berry powder
• toppings of choice: goji berries, superfood maca granola, cacao nibs, unsweetened shredded coconut, chia seeds, fresh fruit
