Angelia Z. Shay, CLU®, ChFC®, LUTCF has received national recognition from New York Life in the company’s Hall of Fame. Shay was recognized at the New York Home Office, where the company is headquartered, for having led a national industry organization.
She is former president of Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) – the only national organization exclusively devoted to helping women succeed in both insurance and financial services. For an 18-month term, Shay guided WIFS with a focus on insurance and financial services education, job development and networking opportunities for women. In 2011, she and other WIFS officers had the prestigious honor of ringing the New York Stock Exchange Bell.
Shay is the founder and president of THE PATH Financial Strategies, LLC (www.THEPATHFinancial.com) and a financial adviser with Eagle Strategies, LLC, a registered investment adviser and a wholly-owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company. During her career, Shay achieved “Million Dollar Round Table” membership 14 times, which represents the top life insurance and financial service professionals worldwide and makes her a Life & Qualifying Member. Locally, Shay was honored twice as “Agent of the Year” by the Richmond General Office of New York Life. She is the first woman recognized as a Senior NYLIC in the Richmond Office, which is based on more than 20 years of service with New York Life. In addition to leadership roles, Shay serves the industry as an educator, national speaker and published author.
