Presenter Nederlander National Markets reveals the 2026/2027 Broadway In Richmond six-show subscription series, plus two blockbuster add-on options for a total of eight productions. Five shows will make their Richmond premiere, while three spectacular favorites return.
The 2026/2027 Broadway in Richmond season brings unforgettable stories, breathtaking performances, and the shared joy and excitement of live theater to Altria Theater —creating memories you’ll cherish long after the curtain falls. From powerful new musicals to beloved returning musicals, each production has been chosen to deliver an extraordinary theatergoing experience right here in RVA.
2026-2027 Season at a Glance
The season opens this September with a new production of Dirty Dancing: The Musical, based on the beloved film that awakened a generation. From the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook brings a love story for the ages to the stage this November. Hell’s Kitchen, the award-winning Broadway musical created and inspired by 17 -time Grammy® Award winning Alicia Keys, visits in May. Following this, the smash-hit musical Just in Time about the life of Bobby Darin will make a splash in June. The five-time Tony Award®–winning musical Buena Vista Social Club™ arrives in July with an uplifting story inspired by true events that brings the Grammy® Award–winning album to life.
The season comes to an end with Broadway’s spellbinding, six-time Tony Award®-winning play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This season subscribers have two blockbuster add-on options to consider in Mamma Mia! and Hamilton.

The Notebook

Tuesday, November 3 – Sunday, November 8, 2026 with 8 performances at Altria Theater
Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. “Full of butterfly-inducing highs and beautiful songs” (Entertainment Weekly), The Notebook is a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love.
