Discover the thrill of the James River with a four-person rafting trip. You’ll see wildlife, historic structures, and an unmatched view of Richmond’s skyline. Choose to paddle on one of two distinct sections of the river, the Upper James or the Lower James. The beginner-friendly Upper James section will take you through class I-II rapids (the perfect option for children under 10), and the Lower James section will challenge your group to class III+ rapids (best for children 10+). Trips will be led by well-trained river guides in the raft with you. Included with your trip is all necessary safety gear and a complimentary snack. RVA Paddlesports will also handle all shuttling and logistics for the trip, and photographers will be placed strategically on the river to capture your group’s excitement in the moment.
