Richmond Animal League’s Woofstock

Date: Saturday, September 26
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Innsbrook
Woofstock, Richmond Animal League’s annual family- and dog-friendly festival, returns with pet adoptions, a pet parade, live music, vendors, and plenty of fun, all while raising lifesaving funds for rescue and adoption. Admission is free, and donations are welcome. Benefits Richmond Animal League.
21st Annual Touch-A-Truck

Date: Saturday, October 3
Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Richmond Raceway
Children can explore vehicles of all types, including public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery, and more. Benefits Junior League of Richmond.
Chesterfield CASA Superhero 5K

Date: Sunday, October 4
Time: 8:30 a.m.
Location: Westchester Commons
Chesterfield CASA welcomes all families and friends to come run or walk in support of children who face neglect, abuse, and abandonment. Proceeds from registration, donation, and sponsorship dollars will allow our programs to support enough volunteers to serve all at-risk children who are referred for advocacy services. 20th Annual Step UP for Down Syndrome RVA 5K & Family Festival

Date: Saturday, October 24
Time: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Dorey Park
Whether you have a child with Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, take the first step and donate or register today. Benefits Virginia Down Syndrome Association.
Blue Sky Hike for Kids

Date: Saturday, October 24
Time: 9 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Location: Virginia War Memorial
Richmond hikers will enjoy some of the best urban trails in the country with either a 3, 8 or 14-mile loop. All are welcomed to celebrate the journey at a post-hike party with food, beer, games and live music. Benefits Blue Sky Fund.
Live Red’s RVA Mile (formerly Regency Mile)

Date: Sunday, October 25
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Location: Deep Run High School
The largest timed youth road race in Richmond with both in-person and virtual race options. After the race, stick around and enjoy a Fall Festival complete with costume contests, candy, games, and more. Funds raised go directly to producing free fitness programs in Richmond’s lowest-opportunity neighborhoods and $2,000+ will be donated to local schools’ physical education departments. Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race

Date: Sunday, October 25
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Location: Bryan Park
A morning of celebration, remembrance and hope to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of patients with brain tumors and their families. The Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race is a family-friendly event for all ages. Benefits the Virginia Chapter of the National Brain Tumor Society.
Gingerbread House Challenge

Date: Sunday, November 15
Time: 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: Hardywood Park Craft Brewery
Local businesses, nonprofits, and student groups form teams and display their holiday spirit and creativity by constructing a gingerbread house based on a central theme. Benefits Better Housing Coalition.
